Grameenphone, the largest mobile operator in Bangladesh, calls out to local startups to join their White-Board.
Are you someone with an innovative brain? Are you cooking up an idea for a Digital startup, already bagged a prototype, or advanced a bit with a team of innovators? You should drop in to the White-Board.
Now, though, you’re thinking, “What’s White-Board?”
White-Board is a co-working space that offers progressive thinkers mentoring sessions and an opportunity to engage with various Grameenphone and GP partner-led digital events. In less than three months’ time a bunch of innovation enthusiasts within Grameenphone set off and built this space inside GP House (Grameenphone’s HQ in Dhaka) for people like you!
White-Board innovation canvas
This simple, yet meaningful web scheduler is the most innovative brand identity in Bangladesh. The innovation canvas is the digital eco-system enabler and the hub is where you come, innovate, create, design, implement and be the change in the ongoing digital convergence.
What’s it all for?
Before diving into the deep to hunt out ideas, White-Board decided to first revisit the eco-system and understand how to fill in the gaps and drive an innovation culture from within, with the proper mix of internal and external stimuli. The big realization was that space and working environment were a critical factor for ideas and startups to flourish. Thus, the idea for White-Board was born.
What’s White-Board all about: 3 things
- Co-Working Space: Whiteboard is located on Level 3 of GP House, sharing space with GP Digital Services where various Digital products have evolved.
- Events, Meet-ups, Mentors: White-Board has great facilities, mentors and resources to host events, Meet-ups on digital Innovation and anything that helps startups and projects do their job better.
- It’s for everyone: Anyone can register an application request for space through www.white-board.co where every application goes through an online review panel for a decision. White-Board can be also followed on Facebook.
Initially, White-Board started off as just a space with a capacity to fit in 100 like-minded people to collaborate and drive innovation. However, the White-Board team has initiated a number of proactive engagements with talents, experts and startups from the community. Already 10 knowledge-sharing sessions and two tech events with international partners have been hosted at White-Board.
Furthermore, another 12 exciting engagement activities are scheduled through November and December 2016, such as the just concluded Smart City Hackathon 2016, as well as the upcoming Game Jam, and Ignite Idea Jam.
